Eligibility Criteria

CGPA Cutoff is 7.00 with No active Backlogs

Selection Procedure

Round 1 - OT Round 2 - Technical interview ( some students had two technical interviews )

Description of Online Test

A candidate can apply for any profile, but OT consists of four sections Analog, Digital, Coding and Aptitude One must clear the minimum score in Aptitude , and on the performance of candidate in OT, Candidate can sit in Interviews for more than one Profile. Aptitude section is very basic and can be done in quick time Digital section covers concepts from DSD like logic gates, boolean expressions, flip flops, etc. Analog section covers mostly Operational Amplifiers, RLC circuits and transient analysis concepts. Coding section covers mostly basic OOPs concepts, the questions are easy to solve.

Description of Technical interview

I had only one Technical Round which lasted for around 1 hr 20 mins. The questions are basic and are mostly related to RLC circuits, Operational Amplifiers. Also, some basic concepts in Signals and Systems and Control systems were asked. Some of the questions/concepts I remember are: 1. To find Thevenin's equivalent circuit for simple resistive ladder circuit. 2. To find Norton's equivalent circuit for the same resistive ladder circuit. 3. To find output voltage signal diagram for RC circuit in series, (i) at resistance and (ii) at capacitance. 4. Questions based on Transient analysis for RLC circuits. ( I was asked around 2-4 questions related to these ) 5. I was asked to draw the BODE plot for some RLC circuit. 6. How much Sampling frequency is required for a message signal of frequency fm, ( relation between fs and fm for better sampling) 7. I was asked to draw the signal sin(2*pi*f*t) in the frequency domain.

What should be the preparation strategy for an aspiring candidate?

One should cover and be confident in all the basics of RLC circuits and Transient analysis. Doing more practice in solving RLC circuits helps a lot in understanding concepts well and also boosts your confidence in these concepts. Learning basic concepts in Signals and Systems and Control systems topics are helpful in the technical round.

Resources for Preparation

For RLC circuits, Transient analysis and Op-amps: go through NPTEL lectures of Dr. N. Krishnapura (IITM) https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbMVogVj5nJRaU59wJO58RA6UOrJTYG5q For Signals and Systems: https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9RcWoqXmzaIG-RWneeqDJ-FCt66S15pl Microelectronic Circuits 5th Edition By Adel S. Sedra and Kenneth C. Smith --> this book covers most of the concepts
