Description of HR round Mainly asked about what difficulty I faced during the group project which I mentioned in my resume. and how did I overcome it. also asked oops related questions(like on polymorphism, inheritance) and was asked to code.
What should be the preparation strategy for an aspiring candidate? For hardware section- just listen to the classes properly. that's more than enough. for coding, regularly practice on hackerrank or any other platform. just don't lose touch from coding. even if you are preparing for core hardware, you need to have good programming skills. work on your communication skills. because sometimes even if you know the answer, you may not be able to explain it properly.
Resources for Preparation Gfg(c/c++), Indiabix(aptitude) hardware (previous year gate questions, nptel lectures, neso)
Any additional information you want to provide from your side Just be confident during your interview. for OT, time is the deciding factor. so practice more questions and work on time management. Keep giving mock tests. Once you qualify for interview, CG doesn't play a very important role. the thing which matters the most is your way of approach to the question asked. even if you are preparing for core, do attempt the software OTs because that will give you some experience. Keep yourself engaged in projects. Try to learn from your rejection. Reaching to the final round and not getting selected really hurts, but you need to figure out what went wrong and never repeat that mistake. Try to learn from others mistakes also. so keep talking to your friends. They can give you very helpful advice from their experience.
