Description of Technical interview

Tech and HR were combined together so I'll just answer it over here: The round was to understand if the candidate was able to think analytically and had basic coding skills. It is very important for students to assert their interests as this round may determine which department they end up being positioned in. For me, I was interested in the AI/ML team so I backed it up with relevant projects and clearly mentioned that if I get a software developer role I would quit as it will be a waste of time. The interview is for students to check if they fit in the firm and explore their career prospects after joining Deloitte. I would highly encourage people to be open about their expectations and not try to get placed no matter what by positioning yourself as a "yes man".

What should be the preparation strategy for an aspiring candidate?

Break down the concepts in each section. For example in LR there are statements, shapes and patterns, number series, family trees etc.. study no more than 3-4 concepts per day and test yourself on those concepts on that day and another test after 3-4 days. That way you can accurately pinpoint the concept you face difficulty in and focus on eliminating those weaknesses.
