What should be the preparation strategy for an aspiring candidate?

1. If you want to prepare for electrical core then it is advisable to read your core subject thoroughly, refer to the standard textbook prescribed by college and NPTEL lectures. (mainly Power System, Electrical Machines, Power Electronics, Circuit Theory, Control System and basics of Digital and Analog Electronics) 2. Practice previous year GATE questions. 3. Along with theory, it is advisable to practice questions also. If you solve more questions then the concept will be cleared more and build up confidence ultimately.

Resources for Preparation

1. Refer IndiaBix, FACEPrep and other popular websites for Aptitude. 2. Refer GATE ACADEMY (YouTube videos) for previous year GATE questions solutions mainly in Digital and Analog Electronic (they discuss solutions along with all the concept involved in that particular questions) 3. MADE EASY previous year solved questions (Book)

Any additional information you want to provide from your side

1. EEE students be clear with your goal early whether you want to get job in Software, Hardware, Electrical Core, management side OR you want to go for higher studies. 2. Do projects (it is very important, if possible try to make a prototype also). For project ideas you can refer to INSTRUCTABLE sites (https://www.instructables.com/) and other popular sites. You can join Technical TEAMS of your college. And you can approach professors also for projects.

3. Join Clubs and Teams of your college as it helps in developing teamwork, leadership and other skills also apart from technical skills.

4. Take the help of your friends or seniors and give some mock interviews before them and ask them to point out your mistakes, if any.

ALL THE BEST 😊
