Description of Technical Interview:

Since the company is solely into data analytics and data science, there are a lot of divisions you could be working under. So the interviewer was mainly trying to gauge my skillset and understand which team I would best be suitable for. I was asked by the interviewer to be completely honest and to not beat around the bush if I didn't know an answer. The duration of the interview was around 40 - 45 minutes.

First, I was asked some questions from the courses written in my resume. Then he asked me questions related to the skills mentioned.

Python -
1. Rate yourself from 1-5.
2. Difference between list and tuple.
3. Why would tuples be preferred over lists during work?
4. Difference between user defined function and lambda function
5. He asked a few questions on the libraries I was familiar with as well.

SQL -
1. Difference between (i) union and union all, (ii) alter and update.
2. Which is better - merge or join?

Excel -
I had done a course on Excel for analytics, so he asked me again to rate myself from 1-5. Then I was asked to open a blank excel sheet.
1. Type 1,2,3,a,4,5,6 row-wise. Count all the cells you just filled. (If you use =count, 'a' doesn't get counted)
2. Hide the row with a. Now find the sum.
3. Hide the row with 4, now find the sum. (Even if you hide the row, it takes into account the value while calculating sum)
4. In a different column, type Ram Kumar Singh in a cell. Separate the first name, middle name and last name and display in the adjacent cells. (ans - use delimiters)

Description of HR Round:

The HR round was very casual, we were only asked what we knew about the company and most of it was a casual conversation about the industry and company.
