Your basic concept should be strong.
Focus on the electrical core subject which is being taught in 2nd and 3rd years.
If you are preparing for the GATE exam it should be easier.

Resources:

The reference books which are used by the professors, and mentioned in the syllabus will be sufficient. Prepare your self notes by taking reference from books or any other sources like electrical4u (https://www.electrical4u.com/). If you have any ACE engineering or made easy postal material it should be easy for you.

Additional info for our viewers:

Be patient and maintain your focus on whichever role you are preparing. And if you are preparing for a core job, also check the opportunities available in government organizations like (BARC,ISRO,DRDO etc.). More opportunities will come, and the only factor which decide your success will be your preparation.
