Description of Online test:
There were two SQL questions, 1 API and the rest were MCQ questions on data structures, OOP, OS and graphs.
Description of Technical Interview:
First round started with a “tell me about yourself” question. Then the interviewer asked me a coding question on arrays (finding and eliminating duplicates in an array), a general puzzle and then a few questions from DBMS and some resume based questions.
In second round he asked me about projects in my resume and then moved on to a coding question on backtracking and recursion (finding all possible ways of choosing numbers from array such that the sum of them equals to the given target) and then questions from OS, Object oriented programming and linked lists and pointers.
In the end, he advised me to learn more technical things relevant to my role before joining Oracle.
Description of HR Round:
The 3rd round was HR for some, but for me it was purely technical. I was tested on my CS Fundamentals which I answered to the best of my knowledge and my problem solving skills were also tested. The interviewer asked if I had any questions and I asked about the work-life balance and he explained about the welfare policies.
Preparation Strategy:
The main strategy should be to emphasize on quality rather than quantity. It is important to have complete knowledge on a topic rather than rushing through topics. It is also important to consistently practice and the key is to not solve the problem but to develop the problem solving ability to tackle any given question. You don't have to compete with your friends, try to compete with yourself to be better than what you were yesterday.
